About Us

Our History

Our program, Cooper Young Kings, was founded as the 612 Young King in June of 2021 on the north side of Minneapolis. Our goal from inception was to provide a safe environment for young children, preteens and teens, to learn how to become productive citzens through the game of football that will further translate to a life of community, integrity, empowerment, inclusivity, and excellence.

We also wanted to provide a platform for our players to play together for an extended period of time instilling a sense of accountability to one another. We truly believe everyone has the potential to become a leader, a champion, and a beacon of hope for their community.

In the spring of 2023 we merged with Cooper High School, and became the Cooper Young Kings. Although our program has expanded significantly our focus and vision has remained the same. We aim to become a recognized leader in youth football, known for a commitment to excellence and the positive impact we make on the lives of our participants. We aspire to leave a lasting legacy, inspiring our youth to become future leaders in their community.
